Thank you for taking the time to find out more about me, my art and what inspires it.
I have a passion and yearning for the sea, open wild spaces and big skies.
As you can see from my online gallery, my inspiration comes from a love of the sea, sky and the natural world around us. In particular I have a love for the Cornish Coast and The Scottish Highlands, both places resonate with me because of many a childhood holiday in Scotland and in more recent years, frequent trips to Fowey in Cornwall.
My art is mainly semi-abstract using acrylics, watercolour and texture. I paint instinctively and intuitively. I paint from my emotions, and how how a piece makes me feel is the most important factor for me.
I’m mainly self taught, but being a member of local artist communities has been so useful in my art journey. I am a member of Abingdon Artists and Faringdon Art Society and exhibit with these groups a few times a year. I sell my art via local exhibitions, my website and Instagram. I also take part in Oxfordshire Art Weeks.
If you would like to know more about my art, see particular pieces, talk to me about a commission, or you’ve seen something on Instagram that isn’t yet on my website, please do get in touch using the form below. I’d love to hear from you.
